Kundalini Yoga with Arissa Gold Coast

Hello beautiful being,

You’re warmly invited to join us for Kundalini Yoga—a practice to elevate your spirit, awaken the power of your breath, and nurture a more harmonious relationship with yourself and your own innate abundance.

My journey with yoga began in my early 20s, and what started as a personal practice soon evolved into a deeper calling to share these teachings with others. Since becoming a yoga teacher in 2008, I’ve offered classes across several lineages—including Hatha Yoga (Bikram Original Hot Yoga), Ashtanga-Vinyasa Yoga (as taught by Pattabhi Jois), and Kundalini Yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan).

Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or entirely new to the practice, I invite you to experience Kundalini Yoga for yourself. It’s a potent and transformational practice—considered one of the most comprehensive yoga traditions. Rooted in pranayama (conscious breathwork), Kundalini Yoga weaves together physical kriyas (movement sets), meditation, and mantra (Naad—the science of sound vibration) to bring balance to the body, mind, and spirit.

Each session closes with a deep state of relaxation. In the Kundalini tradition, this often includes a hypnagogic Gong Bath to support nervous system recalibration. I also incorporate sacred sound healing instruments to enhance the experience and help you integrate the practice more deeply.

About Kundalini Yoga

A path of awareness and transformation

Kundalini Yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan) is known as the yoga of awareness—a practice devoted to inner transformation through the recognition, refinement, and expansion of our consciousness. It draws on one of the most comprehensive yogic systems, integrating breathwork (pranayama), meditation, mantra, and physical sequences called kriyas.

This is a deeply intentional and spiritual practice, designed to awaken the dormant Kundalini energy—also known as shakti—our vital life-force that rests at the base of the spine (Root Chakra/perineum). This energy is the wellspring of our creative power, intuition, and inner wisdom—bridging the divine feminine (yin) and divine masculine (yang) aspects of our being.

Through purposeful movement, breath, and sound, Kundalini Yoga guides this life-force energy along the central channel of the spine, supporting the (re)awakening of your innate vitality, your presence, and your essential you-ness.

The Sacred Origins & Science of Kundalini Yoga

The word Kundalini is poetically translated as “the curl of the lock of hair of the Beloved”—a metaphor for the divine energy and consciousness that resides within each of us. This inner current allows us to awaken and merge with the Universal Self.  When individual (micro) consciousness fuses with the universal (macro) consciousness, we experience yoga—a sacred union of the finite and infinite.

The esoteric science of Kundalini is said to pre-date the 15th century BCE. Once kept secret and passed orally from teacher to chosen student, this powerful technology was first shared publicly in the West by Yogi Bhajan in the late 1960s.

The word kriya means “action.” In Kundalini Yoga, kriyas are precise sequences of movement, breath, sound, mudra (energy seals), and meditation that direct the body’s energies toward a specific outcome. Each kriya is practiced in a specific sequence and timing to preserve its original integrity and to safely facilitate its intended transformational effects.

Kundalini Yoga supports the health of both the gross and subtle body systems. It helps regulate and balance the nervous and glandular systems, cultivates inner resilience, and enhances energetic sensitivity. Over time, it awakens a deeper connection to your inner world—offering insight into the true state of your body, mind, and spirit, including areas like the spine, heart, digestion, and emotional wellbeing.
